FIA PILOT® Announces Asia Wide Student Pilot Admission 2027 With Only Eight Places Available
FIA PILOT® has officially opened its 2027 Student Pilot Admission programme, introducing an Asia-wide selection process for aspiring pilots seeking professional flight training opportunities in Canada. With only eight places available, the program represents the next stage in FIA PILOT®'s international student pilot recruitment initiative.
Following the launch of its first student pilot intake in Thailand in 2026, FIA PILOT® is expanding its admission process across Asia for 2027. The initiative aims to provide eligible candidates from different countries with an opportunity to participate in a structured international pilot selection process.
Under the 2027 admission framework, a total of eight candidates will be selected through two admission pathways:
6 Places – Admission Examination: Candidates will participate in an online written examination followed by an oral interview and assessment process.
2 Places – Direct Entry: A separate admission pathway for eligible applicants, subject to the programme's selection and eligibility requirements.
The selection process is designed to assess aviation knowledge, aptitude, motivation, and readiness for professional pilot training. Previous flight experience is not required for applicants entering the standard admission examination pathway.

The 2027 admission programme introduces a unified selection opportunity for aspiring pilots across Asia, allowing candidates from participating countries to complete the written examination online without travelling to a physical examination centre.
The written admission examination is scheduled for 9 January 2027 and will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, with a total examination time of 120 minutes.
Candidates will be assessed in aviation-related subjects, including radio communication, Canadian aviation regulations, air law, navigation, meteorology, and general aeronautical knowledge.
Candidates who successfully pass the written examination will be eligible to proceed to the oral examination and interview stage, scheduled for 23–24 January 2027.

31 October – 15 December 2026: Application Period
9 January 2027: Online Written Examination
18 January 2027: Written Examination Results
23–24 January 2027: Oral Examination & Interview
27 January 2027: Final Selection Results
Successful candidates will proceed to the required medical assessment, enrollment, immigration documentation, and pre-departure preparation stages.
Professional Pilot Training in Canada
Candidates who successfully complete the selection and enrollment requirements will have the opportunity to pursue professional flight training at approved FIA PILOT® partner flight schools in Canada.
The planned training intake will commence between July and December 2027, subject to individual enrollment arrangements, immigration approvals, and training availability.
The professional pilot training pathway is designed to support progression through the Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), and Flight Instructor Rating (FIR), with an estimated training duration of approximately 2–2.5 years.
FIA PILOT® coordinates international student pilot admissions and provides support throughout the selection, enrollment, and training preparation process in collaboration with its flight school partners.

Applications for FIA PILOT® Student Pilot Admission 2027 are officially open until 15 December 2026.
The programme is self-funded and is not a scholarship initiative. Applicants are encouraged to review the published eligibility requirements, examination information, and programme costs before submitting their applications.
