FIA PILOT® Admission 2027: Online Selection for Aspiring Pilots Across Asia

FIA PILOT® will open applications on 31 October 2026 for its Admission 2027 intake, with an online written examination allowing aspiring pilots across Asia to participate without travelling to a physical examination centre.
The upcoming admissions cycle offers candidates an opportunity to pursue flight training in Canada at Montair Aviation. Through a structured selection process, FIA PILOT® aims to identify motivated applicants who are ready to begin their journey towards professional pilot training.
Previous flying experience is not required to apply. Candidates should meet the published eligibility criteria and prepare for both the written examination and the interview.
An Online Examination with 100 Questions
For Admission 2027, the written examination will be conducted online and will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions.
This format enables applicants from across Asia to participate from their own location while following the examination rules and technical requirements set by FIA PILOT®.
Candidates should review the official Exam Guide and prepare a suitable computer, a stable internet connection and a quiet examination environment. Detailed instructions will be provided before the examination.
The assessment forms part of the FIA PILOT® admissions process and is not a pilot licensing examination.
Selection Beyond the Written Exam
Applicants who advance from the written examination will be invited to an interview assessing their motivation, attitude and readiness for flight training.
The interview provides an opportunity for candidates to explain their goals and demonstrate an understanding of the commitment involved in studying aviation overseas. Preparation, clear communication and a willingness to learn are important throughout the selection process.
Candidates must also meet the applicable pilot medical requirements before beginning flight training.
Eight Places at Montair Aviation, Canada
For the 2027 intake at Montair Aviation in Canada, FIA PILOT® has allocated eight places across two admissions routes:
Admission 2027 — 6 places: Through the Asia-wide online written examination and subsequent selection stages.
Direct Entry — 2 places: Through a separate selection process for applicants who meet the published Direct Entry criteria.
Applicants should review the requirements for their chosen route before applying. Successful candidates will progress towards enrolment, subject to meeting the school’s admission requirements and applicable medical and visa conditions.
Preparing for Your First Step into Aviation
Applicants are encouraged to begin with the official FIA PILOT® Exam Guide, review the published examination topics and establish a regular study routine.
Those without an aviation background can use this preparation period to build foundational knowledge and become familiar with the expectations of flight training.
Students and families should also review tuition fees, training requirements and the practical arrangements for studying in Canada. Understanding these commitments early can help candidates approach the selection process with clear and realistic goals.
Applications Open on 31 October 2026
The FIA PILOT® Admission 2027 cycle welcomes eligible applicants from across Asia who are ready to take their first step towards international flight training.
